Tog. 4 captioned chromolithographed plates, many captioned monochrome illustrations in text and full-page after original woodcuts, musicscores in text with vocals, decorative monochrome initials, occasional large decorative head-and-tail pieces, teble of contents to each volume. Dutch language collection of educational and moralizing stories on behalf of elder youths, originally published in installments. Stories about foreign so-called primitive people, e.g. North american Indians, Java and the Javanese, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and the Boers; information about technical development (motorcars and other engines), popular songs with music-scores and vocals, riddles and popular sayings, european architecture, domestic and exotic animals, incl. birds, puzzler, the celestial world and its appearances. First 22pp. of volume I have been devoted to the young Queen Wilhelmina, her enthronement in 1898 and her family. Good to very good complete set, rarely found together and in such clean and crisp condition. (Some minor wear and damage to tail margins, skilfully restored with clearview acidfree tape).
