Handcoloured lithographed extending plate featuring a floral arrangement design, 12 french language captioned handcoloured lithographed fashion plates at rear end, lithographed by O.D. Binger, Haarlem, 44 captioned monochrome plates of which many large extemding featuring designs and patterns to be excecuted, extensive step.-by-step technical directions accompanying female home crafts, descriptive list of plates, table of contents. Dutch language mid-nineteenth century monthly for 1851 with as objective informing ladies about a selection of homecrafts, including detailed designs and extending patterns, improving the sill of embroidery, crocheting and lace making, knitting and other forms of fine needlecraft. This journal has been published between 1848-1864 (discontinued). Still of great importance and interest as it shows the way of pattern design and techniques, now long forgotten. Good to very good copy. Rarely found. (covers shaved).
