Nine issues of this famous dutch language illustrated popular and glamurous weekly magazine on behalf of european, e.g.: Dutch, society of pre-war dutch East Indies, which includes a section omn behalf of females. Each issue also incorporates comic strips by Eurene Francis Byrnes (signed Gene Byrnes, 1889-1974) and his long running kid's comic strip in colour Reuze Rakkers, or,:Reg'lar Fellers; Billy Cam's comic strip Cam-Ou-Flarge, drawing a not so flattering picture of european Society in the Dutch East Indies, indonesian-dutch and ethnic indonesian groups; occasionally with a FLASH GORDON comic. Billy Cam, an US citizen, draughtsman and cartoonist lived and worked in Batavia between 1935-1940. Single copies or runs of this magazine are very hard-to-find nowadays. In very good condition.
