After an extensive dutch language introduction on xxixpp., with detailed information about origin and meaning of Kawi-language or basa Kawi, spoken and written in pre-fifteenth century Hindu-Java (preceding islamic conquest of Hindu-Java); followed by original Kawi script, with romanized transcription including extensive footnotes on pp. 1-49. Still of great of interest and value. Good copy. (binding a bit shaved and worn, especially on spine, small library ticket on verso of front cover, some unobtrusive marginal library stamps, contents clean).
