Bold black type covertitle, monochrome illustration at tail and a window at top margin illustrating the dutch flag. [20]pp. of text and captioned monochrome illustrations of which portraits, name-list of submarine crew inside lower outer cover, simple track-map printed at tail of title-page, name-list members of the committee-of-honour. On 14 November 1934 a dutch submarine H.R.Ms. XVIII, under command of Lt.-at-Sea first class D.C.M. Hetterschij, sailed from Naval-base Den Helder for its circumnavigation of some 20.000 sea-miles, arriving at Surabaya Naval-base, colonial Indonesia, 11th July 1935. This tour-of-duty was filmed and photographed by Lt.-at-Sea 2nd. class M.S. Wytema who was engaged as cinematographer by the dutch film-factory Polygoon, Haarlem municipality. A nice and attractive copy of this promotional brochure. Good to very good copy. (tail of spine a bit knocked).
