Oblong Folio, original decorative crêpe paper covered limp boards, large paper title-label on front cover, two original purple silk thread ties stitched to spine. Title-page (verso blank) and 15 hand coloured collotype plates with 19 illustrations after original photographs by Ogawa, captions printed on tissue-guards, colophon in japanese caracters at very end, decorative endpapers preserved. Album illustrating architecture of in- and exterior of a Model Japanese Villa and surrounding manicured gardens, also depicting some Geisha in handcoloured traditional dress, designed at the end of Meiji Period, photographed and published by Kazumasa Ogawa, a foremost photographer and grapic artist of the period. Very fine copy in its original japanese style binding. Rare.
