Danish language account by a Danish national describing his work and gneral daily life as an Assistant-Employee on two Deli (North Sumatra) Estages, e.g. 'Tanah Merah' (POil-palm) and 'Haboko' (Tea production), which includes notes on Concubinage and the female housekeeper, the Njai, and on local Batak population. Illustrations include pictures of traditional Batak Architecture and Villages. The title-name Sinkehos a low Malay slang-word characterizing a newcomer and unexperienced Estate employee. Good untrimmed copy in original illustrated publ. wrappers. (spine-ends a bit damaged, some scuffing to extremities of wrappers).
