Description: S.I., Nederlandsch Olympisch Comite, 14 December, 1932. Folio-sized partly printed, partly Calligraphed and partly illustrated in tinted lithographed Official and Original Certificate, 56x41cm. Partly printed text and original Calligraphy in a very steady hand, within a broad and eleborate decorative tinted and lithographed border, which includes four decorative circular medallions, of which two have been initialled NOC (Nederlandsch Olympisch Comite), one medallion at top of border featuring a Greek head of a God, one at tail of border featuring the Royal Dutch State Lion, with a large square titnted and lithographed scenic illustration at tail margin, measuring aaprox. 33x14cm., featuring five competing Greek Athletes in the style of a Greek Frieze, featuring the Penthatlon. Designed by Atelier[Studio] Begeer and lithographed by W.A. Versluys & Scherjon, Utrecht. ADDED THE ORIGINAL [miniaturized] Regulation Medal, complete with the ribbon in the colours of the Dutch Flag, Red-White and Blue, with data engraved on verso. Certificate dated 14 December 1932 and signed in Ms. in ink by Secretary and President of the Dutch Olympic Committee, NOC. SCANNE IMAGE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST. Original and Unique copy of this Official Certificate WITH the Regulation Medal. Presented to Lt.-Colonel Ryal Dutch Army A.E. Dudok van Heel (1915-1993), for proficiency during the Los Angeles Olymic Games 1932, Penthatlon. Very good copy. Extremely rare and much southt after.
