(xii), 193pp. Frontispiece (5 portraits of Dominican bishops) and 5 coats-of-arms of Vicariates printed on recte, many black/white illustrations in text, many featuring topographical views, a.o. of Parish churches, many tables in text and full-page, decorative hear-and-tail pieces, table of contents and separate descriptions to illustrations printed on verso. Commemmorates the Golden Jubilee of Dominican Missionnary labour and progress on Curaçao, which includes a concise description of missionary labour pre-1820. Tables supply statistical information on number of parishes, missionaries and priests, converts, finance and well-fare, etc. Good copy. (lower outer boards a bit soiled, lower inner hinge a bit weakening, some signatures on ferso of french title).
