Dutch language journal, published 4 times a year, with numerous contributions relating to dutch maritime history, training of maritime and navy personnel, hydrography, etc., changing name several times. First series have been published between 1840-1865. Present in this run last part of first seires, 1861-1865; first part of second series, 1866-1880, which include a number of important contributions by P.A. Leupe, being reports on dutch seventeenth/eighteenth century voyages to so-called Zuidland or, New Holland (volume 27) and further contributions on piracy and privateering in dutch colonial indonesian Archipelago. Good set.
