An interesting and well-documented publcation on the Gbato-Senufo tribe, Ivory Coast, supplying information on (:) the tribe itself and her traditional agriculture with innovations, plastic arts, manual crafts, amateurs and professionals, religion and divination, incl. the existence of secret societies, initiation-rites, definitions of the High God, ancestor worship, heresy, leaders and priests, cosmology and perception of after-life, &c. Very good copy. (some minimal chafing to extremities of wrappers).
