Mch more than a simple exhibition catalogue, scientific research and information dealing with the the so-called ship-cloths of the Lampung-region, South Sumatra, preceded by a general scientific introduction on the region, the population, e.g. birth, reaching marriageable age, marriage, obtaining rank, death and religion; pre-Hinduistic and Hinduistic and islamic period, which also includes a short summary of the material culture. Followed by results of scientific research of ship cloths, e.g. classification to form and use, motifs applied (bird, tree, human, mammal, marine animal, building, signs of distinction). Very fine copy, very hard-to-find nowadays.
