An original bookmarker from japanese origin, length 9.8cm., width 2.5cm., with a red coloured thin silken string at top through a tiny pupose-made hole, with a coloured handpainted image of a japanese female holding a musical instrument in her right hand, painted within a pin-pricked ornamental border on a very thin piece of undefined and purpose shaped piece of wood, verso left blank.
