Hftitle (verso blank). 185pp. Frontispiece (extending steel-engraved general view of Brussels), 12 other steel-engraved plates of which 1 extending, all printed within a similar decorative border, large extending steel-engraved plan of Brussels with extensive key, at very end, table listing Brussels' living-quarters, alph. name list of streets, extensive table informing the visitor on important places to be visited, as museums, churches, buildings, theatres, &c., table of contents. A well documented historic description of Brussels municipality, capital to Belgium, on behalf of visitors, travellers and tourists. Supplies rather detailed information of important sights, monumental buildings, various attractions, theatres, nightclubs, vaudeville, opera and music-hall by the municipal archivist. Illustrations are of topographical nature, of which one however illustrates the famous statue of Manneken Pis. In a simple but nice private binding, binder's label pasted inside front boards, N.A. van Beest-Utrecht. Very good copy. (some very occasional and minimal pin-prick foxing).
