A fine impression of a beautiful dry needlepoint etching by Lodewijk Schelfhout, illustrating rocky coast of a small island off Brittanny-coast, France, with in foreground an image of St. Chrisopher. Lodewijk Schelfhout, son to Andreas Schelfhout, can be considered as a maste engraver and painter, who introduced cubism in the Netherlands. He produced in total 224 masterly dry needlepont engravings up till his demise in 1943, all in a very limited edition.
