Recent clothbacked marbled boards, orig. printed wrappers bound-up, nice & charming vignette in centre of lower outer wrapper. 4 coloured plates tipped-in, with captions, nice triangle vignette on verso of ti.-p. Text includes a catalogue of exhibits, listing together 70 paintings with prices in Guineas or marked not-for-sale. English text-edn. ADDED: three original black/white photographs depict. Balinese temple-gates, various sizes, concise captions in ink on blank versos; 1: Mokketoren, Poera Loek-Loek, 14x9cm.; 2: Poera Dalem Soekawati, 14x9cm.; 3: Pendjor S. voor de Poera Desa Soekawati, 11x7cm. All from the late 1920's. And and original red coloured drawing by an unidentified draughtsman, depict. a Balinese temple-gate, 11.5x6.5cm. All loosely inserted. Sub-title of this catalogue reads:A Painting tour in Java and Bali. A very interesting 'travelogue', which includes an exhibition of javanese and balinese paintings exhibited at Sydney. Copy signed in ink by author at tail of last page on recto. NOT called-for in the holdings of the Royal Insitute of Linguistics and Anthropology, K.I.T.L.V. Very rare.
