The Sugar Beet Kuhn P was selected by Messrs. Kuhn & Co., at Naarden (Holland). The firm was founded in 1887 by Messrs. J.P. Dudok van Heel and H.W. Kuhn. When the firm was transformed under the name of Kuhn & Co. N.V. Naarden, Mr. H.W. Kuhn retired, leaving his old associate and founder Mr. J.P. Dudok van Heel, Officer of the Order of Orange-Nassu, Chevalier du Merite Agricole, chairman of the Company. This company was not only famous for the growing of high quality Sugar Beets, from which was exctracted high quality sugar, but also for their outstanding seed production and selection. Illustrations and plates depict. their employees at work, glass ware-houses, interiors of the factory and the laboratory and their experimental station all located at Naarden, Holland. A very interesting promotional publication. NOT called for in the collection of the Royal Dutch library, KB. Very good copy, lavishly illustrated. Rare.
