The satyrical drawings have been based upon the guide-lines published by the dutch ministry of internal affairs, informing the dutch public how to behave during a possible attack of the enemy with atomic, biological or chemical weapons. Even for that time these guidelines were, for the thinking part of the dutch, rather ridiculous and childish. (original envelope damaged and frayed in places, where possible skilfully restored with clearview acid-free tape, plates in excellent condition).
