An ample detailed guide distributed to passengers of the Stoomvaart Maatschappij Nederland, Royal Netherland Mail, travelling from Holland via Genua and Marseille to dutch colonial Indonesia, and back. It was rather common for the more wealthy passengers, to whom this guide was distributed, to travel widely through Europe and visit the great cities as Antwerp, Brussels, Paris, Basle, Mainz, &c. before embarking for the Indies at Genua or Marseille, and after the disembarkment returning from the Indies to spend their leave in Europe, before returning to Holland. An early edition of this interesting guide, of which at least 5 editions have been published. A good to very good copy in orig. limp publ. cloth. Rare. (some minimal tears in plans skilfully restored with clear-view acid free tape).
