Reader for students javanese, being the story of the Kancil or Mousedeer, with an introd. and notes to the original text by author. His first publication appeared in 1885, after an original javanese ms., brought back from colonial Indonesia by author. This second publication on the same subject is however after the original Ms. as present in the India Office Library, London. This Ms. appeared to be completely different from author's own Ms., and caused, according to preface, some translation problems in arabic script. Completely unopened copy in very fine condition. Rare.
