Programme of festivities as organized by the so-called 3 october Vereeniging, issued upon the 90th anniversary of the committee, founded 13 may 1885, commemmorating the relief of a 2-year siege of Leyden Municipality by spanish troops during the eighty-years war between the seven United Provinces against Spain, on 3rd. of October 1574. The city was awarded her famous University by Prince William of Orange for her gallantry and perseverance. Very fine copy.
