Missionary juvenile, relating the story of the arrival of the Muslim preacher Sjeiq Ibn Maulana, at Cheribon municipality in the 15th century, incl. the spread of Islam in the region; followed by the history of dutch protestant missionary labour in the same region by A. Dijkstra, who, after mastering the javanese language, delivered his first public divine service in javanese in 1866 at the house of a chinese convert: Yoe Ong Pau, who later founded a primary school on his property. He worked, up till his death in 1893, amongst the chinese and javanese, who suffered extensively under hatred and anomisity of their, not conversed, families. A very rare juvenile story.
