(xi), 141pp. coloured frontispiece with orig. tissue-guard, 3 other fine coloured plates, of which 2 extending, after original woodcuts, 1 plain plate, num. plain text-ills, incl. head-pieces, japanese art-style col. endpapers, appendix, japanese title-label tipped-in on last blank, in japanese characters, not transcribed. The frontispiece illustrates the costume Furisode Ningyo, other ills. and plates depict. both civil and militrary ceremonial miniature dresses in use with girls' festivals, or Hina Matsuri, and for boys, or Tango-no-Sekku. A well-groomed and very nice publication in good to very good condition. (some light wear to corners only).
