S.F.-like story with as theme the hunt for a secret inscription on a Barabudur-relief. Ills. depict. mainly details of Barabudur on Java. A group of Japanese scientists play an important role in the story. BUUR 0620 refers to a similar edn., publ. however by a differend publisher and place, so it is not quite clear if that copy is a first edn. Also pagination is unequal. Although list of contents in our copy states an introduction on pp.5-6 it is not present and by the look of it has not been published in our copy as there are no traces of removal of this page in our copy. A curious & rare edn. (spine sunned, some light wear to spine-ends).
