Report on the so-called Southwest Newguinea expedition, by command of the Royal Dutch Geographical Society KNAG, suppl. ample information on a variety of subjects: geography & geology, climate, anthropology & ethnography of the papuan population in the region. With a Ms. dedication to Prof. Max Weber, signed and dated Aug. 1908 by one of the expedition-members J.W.R.Koch and a Ms. letter in ink by the same member, dated 23 Aug. 1908, tog. 24 lines( recto/verso) in a fine hand, also signed by J.W.R. Koch, thanking both Professor Weber for his assistance in compiling a chapter on natural history, with a P.S. thanking G.P.Rouffaer for his assistance. Apart from these additions a very rare work, still of great importance. (signs of water-damage to lower margins in 2nd. half of the volume, only leaving traces of wrinkling, not sticking together, some red offsetting on verso of last brown fly-leaf caused by red ribbon of endpocket holding one of the fold maps).
