Technical instructions, composted by a fictuous young lady (Marie van de Boerderij), on how to knit a Balaclava for our posting soldiers at the frontiers during the mobilization of the dutch army winter 1939. The introduction reveals that during 1918 also Balaclava's have been knitted for dutch troops during their mobilization during the Great War, & now, alas!, again in 1939. How simple it may seem, much of these skills have almost gone lost in our modern time. Fine.
