Cloth, 12mo - over 6? - 7? tall. rare early Quaker work, first entry dated 21st July 1658, right at the beginnings of the Movement in England. chocolate cloth with black border to upper and blank to lower boards, spine titled in gilt, lower joint split, upper rubbed, old paper label to spine, corners bumped and frayed, lacks rear fep, a 'Mission Library' stamp and rubber date stamps to half title, some minor foxing to closed edges and on to margins, (iv) 1-174pp + (1) + 1-8pp adverts, at foot of final page of the diary is a small ink name and date, small grease stain to bottom corner of a half dozen pages ( yellow grease, not motor grease!) a tidy but aged copy, at time of listing we could find NO REFERENCE to this book anywhere on the internet! Within the diary there are references to communications received by the author from Charles Fox and other early Quaker figures. Good/No Jacket.
