Description: London: Printed for the Trusters, at the Literary-Press, [1790.] First and only edition, 12mo (171 x 101 mm), xi, [1], 108pp., cont. sheep-backed marbled boards, joints split, spine chipped. A rare dictionary of nautical terms by Robert Wilson, a lieutenant in His Majesty's Navy, and teacher at the Marine-Academy at Chelsea. Provenance: Contemporary ink signature "J. Hill Jun." at head of title and "J. Hill, Down House, Bristol" on front free endpaper, with pencil sketch of captain welcoming a lady and child on board ship on front free endpaper and a ship on rear, bookseller's ticket of J. Harvey of Weymouth. Adams & Waters, p. 310; ESTC records only the BL copy but JISC adds those in the National Library of Scotland, University of St. Andrews and the Wellcome libraries.
