Translated by Edward Augustus Kendall from the French edition 'La chaumière indienne', Paris, 1791. This Dublin edition was published in the same year as the first English edition. With the armorial bookplate of 'Biddle', and a presentation inscription on front-free endpaper "Chistine H. Biddle from R. P. Baird."
