Includes two duplicates. Includes Brückner's doctoral dissertation ["Über Flächen vor fester Breite" (Marburg, 1936) + the carbon of an undated typescript "Über Nachlaufsteuerungen (I)" [ undated, 14 single-side pages, signed "Brückner" in ink on last page. Equations handwritten in ink]. Also includes carbon of typescript titled " A Variation Problem for the Roots of a Cubic Equation" [Göttingen, undated,6 pages. Some rumpling. Last page detached]. One offprint contains author' s presentation inscription to Prof. Dr. Alwin Walther [from whose library this collection originates]. [a pioneer of calculating machines in Germany,"Bückner was awarded his doctorate in 1937 by Maximilian Krafft at the University of Marburg (About surfaces of fixed width). Then he was in Berlin (he developed analog computing systems at the Askania plants in Berlin-Friedenau). In 1944 he habilitated at the TH Darmstadt. In 1951 he was at the TU Berlin, but also in Minden. In 1952, Bückner headed the development of the then most powerful European analogue computer for integration (Integromat) at Schoppe & Faeser in Minden.
