Good. ¶ This is a single volume containing three items bound together, all by Graae, all concerning the Alberti scandal. Includes: 1) "Alberti : Bondefangerfrø, Student, Prokurator, Politiker, Minister, Milliontyv [Kø benhavn, 1908, 79 pp]; 2) "Alberti : Bondfångarfrö, Student, Prokurator, Politiker, Minister, Milliontjuf" [Uddevalla : Nordens Juls Exp. 1908 ; 87pp. Swedish translation with original front cover bound in, bearing author' s inked presentation inscription]; 3) A 7-page article by Graae, in German, published in 'Die Zukunft' Vol. XVI, No. 21 [Berlin, 20 Februar 1909] titled "Justizminister Alberti". This last item has browned pages and inked marginal notes. ["Peter Adler Alberti (1851 – 1932) was a Danish politician and swindler, known for the Alberti scandal of 1908....very early he was also involved in speculations and doubtful economic transactions partly due to his ludomania. Later on it has become clear that he had been guilty of severe embezzlement from a very early stage. Perhaps in order to neutralise further attacks he entered politics in 1892 representing the right wing of the liberal movement....(September 8 1908) Alberti turned himself in to the police for embezzlement of 18 million Danish crowns (Roughly 1 billion Danish crowns as of 2006. He was sentenced 8 years in 'Tugthus' (imprisonment at hard labor) and was imprisoned from 1912 to 1917....
