Morgan's paper, titled "Report to the Regents of the University, upon the articles furnished to the Indian collection: by Lewis H. Morgan" runs pages 63-93 + 17 single-side colored plates [one folding] of ethnographic artifacts [ Iroquois Indian costume & textiles]. Other articles include: Franklin B. Hough "Notice of Several Ancient Remains of Art in Jefferson & St. Lawrence Counties" [pages 101-105 + 5 single-side engraved plates]. Morgan,the founder of American anthropology, was the first ethnologist to classify kinship systems of relationship, based on his comparative study of Iroquois & Greco-Roman clan organisations.
