Bulkeley Bandinel. 6 vols. bound in 8. Folio. Engraved half title after Hollar to vol. 1., 26 plans, 216 plates with over 50 double page, 2 letterpress plates, numerous decorative/historiated intial letters. Some offsetting and light browning, ex-libris ‘D.W.S. Alleyn’s ‘36-’39’, marbled e.p.s., contemporary binding by Webb & Hunt of Liverpool in half red morocco with marbled boards, some surface wear to boards, extremities rubbed, some joints cracked with lower board to vol. 1 detached, spines rubbed with loss particularly to tails of vols. 3 4 & 8, all gilt edges gauffered. ¶ The plates mainly drawn and engraved by John Coney especially for 1817 edition, the chief of the 50 odd prints of after Hollar re-engraved.
