C3 shaved along fore-edge with sl. loss to text, browned, some folding images clumsily re-folded and chipped, contemporary worn leather backed marbled boards, loss to head of spine and boards and corners. ¶ With undoubtedly one of the earliest depictions of a Zebra in the UK of the very first zebra to arrive in England as wedding present Queen Charlotte! Edited 1747-1755 by Isaac Kimber, 1755-1769 by Edward Kimber. Imprint varies slightly; Astley's name is omitted in some later issues [as in our copy]. Title pages have vignette showing St. Paul's, London Bridge, and the Thames from the South Bank; Title pages include content information. Text begins with factotum initial.
