Half titles present in volumes 1, 2, 3. early manuscript note tipped in facing the half title of volume 1., pp.359/6 of volume 6 lacking leading corner, some light browning and occasional spotting, contemporary speckled calf, minor marking and wear, some cracking to firm joints, dec. gilt motifs with gilt rule edged raised bands and green and red title labels to spines, sl. loss to head of last four volumes and to tail of volume 6. ¶ First two volumes: ESTC T82467 ‘With a half-title to each volume, and a final errata leaf in vol. 2. Vol. 1 appeared in fact in 1761.
