Some browning, contemporary marbled boards, some wear and surface loss, rebacked in modern calf by Brian Humphrey with his snail motif, gilt tooled raised bands with gilt motifs and gilt lettered label to spine. ¶ ESTC T148778. ‘ 'Proposals for publishing by subscription, dedicated to His Grace the Duke of Norfolk, Illustrations of British history, biography, and manners' were issued on 1 May 1790.’
