Giacomo Fontemaggi (1810-1859), composer born in Rome. His vocal music (arias, duets, romances) often recur in the programs of chamber concerts in the mid-nineteenth century alongside compositions by G. Donizetti, G. Verdi, G. Rossini. His musical production includes chamber music and above all sacred music, most of which is preserved in manuscript in the Roman library of the Accademia di S. Cecilia and in the Apostle Library, the Vatican.
