Light age toning, some spotting to edges, inscribed to front f.e.p. ‘’Peter A Scott London, Xmas 1933, from Laura’, white lettered red cloth, some staining to upper board, chipped d/w. repaired to verso. ¶ Czech pp.206. ‘Strachan hunted numerous tigers in the grass jungles of Assam, both while on foot and from machans. On one occasion, he trailed a wounded tigress only to have the feline charge and maul him. Though he succeeded in killing the cat, his wounds were so extensive that an arm and leg had to be amputated. the author also includes episodes of hunting leopard, wild board and bear.’
