Traces of an erased stamp on title page. First edition of this early and accurate work on Burma, reprinted many times. Father Sangermano, an Italian Barnabite missionary, lived and served in Rangoon 1783 to 1808. He was one of the earliest Christian missionaries to study the language and literature of the people.
