Marbled boards, red calf spine with title label, original printed wrappers with bound. A tiny wormhole running through the map and last few leaves. First French published dictionary of the Hausa language which is the major lingua franca of Western Africa. It has also been used as a trade language in Central Africa and western Sudan, particularly among Muslims. Zaunmüller 174.
