Publisher's decorated cloth, light wear to extremities. An account of Church's travels through Turkestan in 1899-90 together with his friend J.V. Phelps. The purpose of the journey was to try to shoot the Altai Wapiti, the Tian Shan deer, ibex and roe deer. The route taken included Leh, Yarkand, Aksu, Kuldja, and Khotan. Cordier BS 2863.
