Description: . The collection comprises seven different costume drawings on different kinds of paper. Sizes: varies between 21 x 33 cm and 30 x 43 cm. Four are watercolour and the others painted with crayon. Mounted in passe-partout. They are signed Gueye in pencil. Some are dated and others have information for which performance ("Can Can" and "Kiss me Kate" musicals).Gueye Rolf was a very skilled Swedish costume artist. She designed costumes for about 70 different performances of theatre, operetta and musical between 1923 and 1961. She was mainly active in Sweden but also worked in Oslo and Copenhagen. In the 1920s she spent a few years in Paris working at Moulin Rouge in Paris.
