Old ownership signatures. This is Norberg's translation of the prophecies of Ezekiel and Jeremiah taken from the Septuagint manuscript preserved in the Ambrosian Library in Milan. Ezekiel and Jeremiah are two of the great prophets of the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament). The Septuagint (LXX) is the ancient Alexandrian translation of the Jewish scriptures into Koine Greek and it exists in various manuscript versions, one of which is kept at the Ambrosian Library in Milan. Norberg, a famous Swedish orientalist who made a long journey to the Near East between 1777 and 1782. Darlow/Moule 8974.
