Many books from the famous Signet Library in Edinburgh were sold by Sotheby's in 1979. DNB: Davy was Professor of Chemistry at the Royal Institution & demonstrated the existence of potassium, sodium, chlorine & others, as well as inventing the safety lamp. Very Good.
