Not dated but small homemade bookplate on front free endpaper dated 1872; owner's name to front free endpaper verso dated 1928. Frontispiece slightly worn and a few small scattered patches of discolouration but largely pages clean internally. Illustrations by Gustave Dore including 118 plates, checked and all present. 737pp. Text edited by J. W. Clark with a biographical notice of Cervantes by T. Teignmouth Shore.
