Good hardback in Poor dust jacket . 1946 1st edition with numerous colour illustrations by Fougasse; tightly bound in yellow cloth with black lettering and designs to front and spine; cover mottled and a bit discoloured (damp-affected?), mainly on fore-edge sides. Dust jacket not price-clipped; front discoloured; bottom half of back missing and what remains has been scribbled on in crayon; spine worn with losses to top and base; front panel relatively intact with wear, tear and small losses to edges and corners; back flap lower half present but unattached. Internally, rear endpaper yellowed; pages themselves are clean and bright with just a few small discolouration spots. Overall, a good copy.
