A.' and author's preface from 1835. Translated from the German with corrections and additions by Henry Smith, revised and edited by Thomas Kerchever Arnold. Black half-leather with brown cloth textured boards; 'Homeric Lexicon' in gilt on red title panel on spine; five raised bands and a little rubbed gilt decoration to spine; some wear to leather and repaired slit in cloth on front board; boards a little marked. Various markings on endpapers including one owner's name dated 1910. Scattered small ink stains. A good reference copy. Binding tight. Text in Greek and English.
