Undated large volume in full black leather with raised decoration on front, gilt lettering, and gilt metal corner and clasp decorations, all present and in working order. Some age wear to leather, mainly at hinges, spine head/foot, and four raised bands. Split to head of front joint, about 2 in. Full gilt edges. Family register partially filled with childrens' notes. Slight insect damage to frontispiece, mostly affecting verso with some edge loss, but illustration unaffected. Illustrative title page bright; tissue guard lacks lower half. Internally VG with bright pages and secure binding. This is a heavy book (about 6.2kgs packed); additional postage may be required.
