The illustrated front panel of the dust jacket has been glued to the front free endpaper and the colour illustration by Albert Morrow for 'Little Flower', taken from the front cover of the 'Storyteller' magazine in which the story first appeared in the November 1920 issue as 'The Missionary and the Witchdoctor', is glued to the half-title page. This publication is extremely rare and was unknown when the various Haggard bibliographies were published. There is a small 'Foyles' label on the front pastedown from when the book was first sold.
