An omnibus volume containing The Heiress (90pp), 'A bold stroke for a wife' (Mrs.Centlivre, 54pp); 'The school of reform' (Thomas Morton, 80pp; 'Lover's vows (Mrs.Inchbald, 72pp; 'The Belle's stratagem (Mrs.Cowley, 95pp); 'The West Indian' (Richard Cumberland, 93pp), & 'The country girl' (David Garrick, 75pp), each bound with title page & engraved frontis. Some title pages a little browned. Originally half-leather, but leather missing at board corners; paler areas on paper-covered boards at corners; some wear to board edges, with scuffing to paper on boards; spine worn, with vertical crack in leather; no title label Photo:.
